It can be development environment that you can create 'real' XBOX 360 and Windows Games. With 'real' I don't necessarily mean games like Pong, but real 3- or 2-dimensional games. Here's some info I grabbed:
  • You own the full rights to your own ideas and the games you develop.
  • The development environment is free.
  • It recognizes WAV as its native sound format.
  • It recognizes just about every image format, reaching from PNG to TIFF.
  • It recognizes the most basic 3D model formats, including 3DS, C4D and MAX.
  • It does not have a rich interface, meaning there's no 'level editor' window or anything like that.
  • If you know C++ or Java, you're pretty much ready to go.
  • It gives you full access to the XBOX 360 hardware and fibers

So yeah, be sure to check it out.

I've heard about, haven't actually downloaded it yet though. I don't have too much C++ knowledge, but maybe I can pick some up while trying to use this.

Also, just for anyone that doesn't know, it costs $99 a year to publish 360 games, but for publishing it on a pc it's free.

I WANT to try it, but it tells me I gotta install Visual C# 2005 Express Edition SP1. What the heck is that?
