Earlier there was nothing in the Recycle Bin but then I right-clicked on the icon indicating it had stuff in it and attempted to delete what was there, and it asked if I wanted to delete "Windows." I clicked no out of, well, fear.

And then I tried deleting some files and this happened...

This has happened to me before too. The "3 items part" however is very strange. highlight the idividual files and delete them and just safley assume Windows is trying to commit suicide or something. Try restarting the computer. That helped me. (With the first error anyway.)

EDIT: Also consider that there may be a hidden file in there. To be sure, open any folder, then in the menu bar click: TOOLS > FOLDER OPTIONS, Then click the view tab. Scroll down until you find the box next to SHOW HIDDEN FILES AND FOLDERS Then click OK.

Deleting the individual files made the icon appear empty, so I'm guessing this worked.
