And I still don't deny that America has all these things, I never did, but the fact still remains that so do other countries. Scientists aren't born and bred in America only, and neither are government members who want to better the lives of people and the community.

It would be foolish of anyone to boast such a thing about their country, as if they're the only country willing to do these kinds of things. I congratulate America on their achievements in whatever field you want to throw into the mix, but please broaden your perspective on the rest of the world.

And you can't just state that "I really find it funny that you don’t see Americans going to other countries to get their education", that's just... silly.

I give up, you people have thrown out all logic and reason and I hope for the future of the world, you grow up.

By having "thrown out all logic and reason", you mean disagreeing with you. Check your ego, please. You do not have all the answers, you are not always correct. Just because you say something does not mean it is true.

I also want to congratulate Shadowman. Out of all the members of this forum, he is the only one who actually put up a good intelligent fight.

Even though he didn't even argue with you? Makes sense...

*reads quote and refers back to Dark Luigi's post*

The hell? Americans don't go overseas to get an education? Bull****. America has one of the worst and weakest eductational systems in the world. THAT'S why many Americans leave the country to go study.

Take Oxford University in England for example.

DL, next time do some research or have actual knowledge of what you're talking about before you slap everyone in the face with cow feces, okay?

No. They get an education outside the US because they choose to do so. I don't know why everyone always has to tie their own opinions onto any action that is taken.

People HAVE immigrated to the US for a better education by the way.

I give up, you people have thrown out all logic and reason and I hope for the future of the world, you grow up.

I really find it funny that you don’t see Americans going to other countries to get their education.

As for technology, we are out in first, end of subject.

On social policy, this is the land of opportunely. There are loads of government programs for the people to better their lives.

Out of all the members of this forum, he [ShadowMan] is the only one who actually put up a good intelligent fight.

This is my last post on this tread and I strongly recommend this topic be locked because it is accomplishing nothing.

a) Your own so called, "logic and reasons" have no facts supporting them. Usually, reasons are backed up by facts. You present none.

b) I talked to an American YESTERDAY who is attending my University in Canada. You are right though, you certainly don't see them.

c) Japan is has a pretty impressive Technology scene, where do you think nearly all of your hardware is manufactured?

d) Maybe you should research some other countries. America has social programs, yes, but so does every other country, and I am almost certain that Canada's social policies are better than America's. Something that would have to be debated on an issue-to-issue basis, mind you. (So maybe you should name 5 issues to talk about)

e) Nearly everyone in this topic has said something intelligent. But I am not sure what "fight" you are talking about. This is just a discussion.

f) My translation: "I want the last word, so lock this topic. kthxbye."

My words echo that of Kritter's: Do some research on some other countries, I suggest this website: http://www.nationmaster.com/graph-T/eco_gdp_cap It is very useful. You might be able to back up some of your claims, and disprove some of your other ones. America is not the only Democracy, Dark Luigi, you seem to think every other country is like a third world country or something... you have a very distorted view of the world.

QUOTE (KritTheRed @ Nov 8 2004, 10:42 AM)
AAAAAAHAHAHAHAHA, oh my god Dark Luidiot, your ramblings gave me one heck of a laugh. soveryhappy.gif

Gloating that you're "THE World Power" is not something...gloatable. It's the reason you're going to get bombed into the ground in the first place. Not because you are, but because of the Attitude taken towards that. The whole "we're untouchable" thing got blown away along with the Trade Centres, and i'd have thought you'd realised by now that America isn't invulnerable, and it DOESN'T always win every war it goes into.

Not close to your technology, education, economy, social live, etc??

Come on, i've seen rocks in Australia smarter than some Americans. There's people who are highly educated and undereducated in EVERY country, whether you go to a big American university or a small college somewhere. And Technology is the same, I hear on Australian news alone that "Australian scientists have discovered such and such" all the time, and I imagine it's the same for most countries with a sentient being living in it. You think great America is the only one with a scientist in it? Get real. As for economy, i'm not touching that, i'm not someone who deals with that, but neither are you so you can't really mention it either. And Social Live? What's that? Social Lives?? What the hell does that have to do with anything and what makes it better than every other country? Idiot.

As for America going where people need AID, wake up and smell the human nature, every country does it. Australia has been out and about helping everyone, and I imagine most other countries would have, it's not just an American thing. Anyone with a sense of decency would do the right thing, and I am sure there are many decent people in America, but that doesn't mean the rest of the world sits back and lets America do it all. Oh no, America is a tiny speck of dust on the great carpet that is good people doing the right thing.

And i'm fine with that, good on them, you can be proud of those people, but being proud of those people every day, while carrying an American flag and singing the national Anthem and shedding a tear everytime you see a flag hanging outside the local eatery where you're going to purchase some Freedom Fries is a bit much don't you think?

As for your closing statement, you deserve a punch in the face, quite simply.

I agree. Full stop.
