Controls:
Space=accelerate
control=while accelerating gives extra boost(watch out with the bar on top,if it gets full you'll crash/spin until I add a crash image/sprite)
up=move up one line/lane
down=move down line.lane
right & left to spin/flip in air.
Backspace=restart room(in case you get stuck or some other glitch)
enter=take a screenshot
Glitches:
Getting stuck in ramps(invisible spot between yellow blocks)
Also, what are these black blocks? these where the last test before I made the .exe
it was to see if the player get's hurt when touching them, then I tried to see if the player gets hurt when going in the same line and it doesn't so I'll fix that later...therefor it's useless in this demo so don't pay attention to it.
Enjoy and wait until next demo.
PS:I was gonna leave the press key-2 to change char but I took it out since characters don't have special abilities yet...so it would be just a swap of sprites.


Well So Far I've made a basic engine with opponent AI.
I'm trying to re-make the Excitebike Mario Game...maybe with some changes like a Mario Kart game in which you can throw items like koopa shells,etc.
So Far I've made a basic engine to accelerate,use turbo,jump on ramps,move forward and backward when on the air.
The CPU/Computer picks a character by itself from the 10 available, also moves by itself and changes track/lane by itself.
There are still a few things to do before I release a demo, like fixing depth issues and problems when landing...or I'll release a demo if you guys want but I warned you about this glitches.
Screens:(invisible parts between black blocks it's where ramps are...I made the invisible xD)

Would having a zoom-out zoom-in feature be good? pfft lol I forgot to put a limit so it zoom-out too far xD

If you make it like Mario Kart, than it'll be very worthy. Just be sure not to add THAT many players like in 1st Pic (the Mario Kart Max is 8)

Doen't forget about character(Mario Raceway, Luigi's Mansion)/game(Delfino Plaza, Good Egg Galaxy)-themed courses too!

I was just testing the method I used for the computer.
It's only one object placed many times and randomly picks a character and costume for that character, so to make sure that it picks one of all the character's I placed a lot of them to see if the method worked.
Also the course ideas worked, I'm mainly focusing on the player's ability like making someone faster, other slower, one jump higher on ramps,etc.
Then I'll work on items...and I didn't thought of levels yet but it's a good idea to have these kind of levels and each one have a different feature...the galaxy level should be something with gravity...which I'll have to work hard on if I decide to add it.
Luigi's mansion sounds good too...the only thing thing I thought about levels was putting goombas randomly walking in the stage so when you run into them you crash...
I also have to make a system to see who is first/second,etc...I've made the timer and about %25 of the HUD...so a lot of work waits for me but I got the basic which I thought it'll be hard...the ramps...when the character runs into them it makes them jump longer if they go faster...kind of realistic...it took it's time...also making it jump in that ramp if it's in the same line/lane.

Because I made it so the CPU goes at a specific speed and I was holding the turbo key which gives you an extra boost of speed...I'll make the CPU more challenging tho.

I'm sure you can...someone made a SSMB Camera with this codes and made it so the HUD doesn't zoom-out or zoom-in.
And I've added an item test...I forgot to put a code so they only throw when they get the item >.<

Added Obstacles/walls and some Tiles here and there, gotta finish putting tiles later.

This Demo Has same as before Plus Lakitu(does what it does on Mario Kart),walls obstacles(you run into them you stop moving, CPU gets stuck in it and after a while may move because I didn't fix the code to make it get out of the block).

They even Jump on Ramps!...And when It Hits you the Exploit(<That's the right word? xD)
Also Put a background and you can't get out of the rocks.
CPU doesn't get stuck that much on the walls now...it only gets stuck on them when landing from a jump, after a while or a few seconds they get out of the wall.
Ok, I got the test item done now I'm gonna work on the abilities for each one, so one character it's faster than the other one, or accelerates better...or jump higher...anyone has some recommendations? Also, if you guys have any sprites of a character such as sonic or megaman in excitebike style and could upload it, it'll be nice, I'll add it.
