Homedrawn Adventure is a puzzle game, based on a wrinked peice of paper. You make your way across eight different worlds, doing something I have yet to think of along the way. The screen shot is of Level One, which is still in progress.

Engine test.
(Controls are arrowkeys to move, space to jump, up to enter elevators and exit as soon as you have touched it.)

Looks unique and different. I like it. The paper background is what caught my attention the most.

Good luck finishing it :p

Looks to me like an excuse to have horrible sprites. You should instead try to get them to look like pen or pencil instead of single-pixel MSPaint stuff.

Will it have boulders, ladders, and possibly button-generated portals.

Those would be hard to fit into 32 by 32 areas, though.
And besides, you haven't seen the animation.

EDIT:@Stanley. Maybe, If I get that into it, though those would be incredibly easy to program.

It will still look much better. I'm not telling you to actually draw the sprites. I'm saying to make them look like they were drawn.

Btw, doors got replaced by elevators. Arrow keys to move, space to jump, up for elevators, and enter for exit.

I think he means pixle them so they look like they were drawn on paper with a pen or pencil.
Actualy, I think thats what he said.
Anyways, the game is okay so far, but if you press up when not in front of a door it acts like you went through the exit.

sfffa I didn't notice that. I'll fix that.
Also, really that's what I was trying to imitate.

EDIT:What If I make these sprites in paint.NET and use the pencil/pen tool?

Unfortunately it's very glitchy to me. You can get stuck in the ground for some odd reason, especially on the push/locked blocks.

Are you using masks?

Falcon Punch is the result of the Sun heating fists. It drives the Blue Falcon. Heating causes destruction of water into the pain, where it then hurts, creating rain. Rain creates flowing water in tears, which can then be converted into other forms through more pain.

Should I use masks for the blocks? If I need to then I will.

Just turn off Precise Collision Checking if it's on, because I kept on getting stuck.

Hmm.. I don't have that on...
Maybe I should use masks for the objects, see if it's better.

If you press up while you're not next to an elevator you get warped under the screen. And when you press enter the game shuts down.

Did you play the version in the firs post? That's the most updated one. I don't get those errors when I play this version.
Also, I fixed the collision giltch, I'll post it when I get switches and spikes done. Oh, and on that subject, there is going to be no set ammount of lives, and a level select at the main menu, at next update.
That'll be tomorrow.
