Should I play..., Chrono cross?

I went on gamefaqs to read some reviews on the game, because I enjoyed Chrono Trigger tremendously. Too many mixed reviews. Some gave it 1 and some gave it 10. I don't mean those joke ones (Unless they were a joke, and I just didn't get it) because there were 5 or 6 good ones and 5 or 6 bad ones. Now I ask you to tell me whether or not to play it.

Yeah, CC is a good game. I never beat it though because of my ****ty PSX memcard erasing itself.

If you're wanting to play it purely in hope for a Chrono Trigger sequel, you'll be a tad disappointed. It really isn't a bad game, but it's extremely different in some aspects from Chrono Trigger, especially with the way different art style and characters.

Kay, so I played it. Pretty fun game, haven't gotten far in it, but I'll keep on playing it. Doesn't seem like CT, but it does have that theme from CT when you win a battle though.

I disliked it at first and couldn't get more than a few hours into it, then a year after I got it I decided to give it one more chance and it became one of my favorite games. It's not without its flaws, such as the huge amount of unnecessary characters and the fact that character development generally takes a backseat to the storyline itself (but it's a damn good story). I love the "no experience points" leveling system and I wish more games would do this because the whole thing felt perfectly balanced and eliminated the need for grinding. Oh, and the music is amazing and the battles are somewhat complicated but fun and fast.

Keep going, because if you're a Chrono Trigger fan you'll really appreciate the latter half of the game.
