Well okay it's not horrible, but I never figured out how to get the second star. Found the hidden one before it, and eventually resorted to trying to make timed shots with the cannon to the moving platforms on the left.

It worked, but yeah. Simple stuff with Luigi though since you can just wall-jump.

HOW TO FIND HIDDEN STAR IN DEEP DARK GALAXY

Bring a shell to the bottom of the first deep water pit and use it to blow up the circle of mines around the remains of a ship. You can figure out the rest from there.

That was the last hidden star I found myself, and it took quite a while. It's just something that's not obvious in any way.

The last star I got was in the Grand Finale Galaxy.

There shouldn't be any exceptions.

How to get the second star: get up to that planet again with the Fire Flower, light up all three of those torches, grab the Ice Flower that appears, get up those water fountains in the room with the deep water as Ice Mario, and continue through the level once you're up there (I believe left is the correct direction to start in once you're up there).
