News: Since I got bored due to my entry being finished early, I decided to create an active party member ai. right now his slopes arent working too well. It's very sensitive to the environment. (then again, I haven't tested it under different layouts) Depending on how well it can follow mario and not go berserk when handling obstacles, then I may just add it. Aiming for the ai to be something like that of kSS.

This is looking great! But bad side is, here is some stuff I found, maybe intentional, maybe not:
- Luigi's sprite in the chapter 1 screen is kinda stretched and the L in his cap is backwards.
- Mario refused to jump in one place, but maybe it was just my fault.
- The blocks collision detection is kinda shabby.
- And some spelling mistakes, but I think we all make them.
But as I said, this is looking great. I especially like the Super Paper Mario-style thing. Keep up the good work! And if you need help in something, I can help, 'cause I use MMF2 too.

Yea I noticed that too for the Block collisions. He gets all choppy when he touches the block, not hit it. I'll try and fix that one.
- Hm spelling mistakes yea I'll work on that scene again.
- Mario refused to jump in one place? You mean you pressed shift and he moved at a different angle or somewhat?

- I don't think I even noticed the Luigi sprite but ok XD

Also thanks.

But you have any idea how to get rid of those stars pasting themselves into the background when you kill a dazzy?

Or better yet, how to make a dazzy stop moving when you kill it. if internal flag 0 is on, it moves right. if internal flag 0 is off, it moves left, so I dont think changing the flags will make it stop.

again thanks. I spent the almost half the day reading tutorials.

They didn't paste in the background on my computer. Odd. Are you using some other system that XP? And you could put sumthin like this: if internal flag is 2, stop Dayzee. Or just kill it in the instant hit, don't make a dying animation. Plus the jumping thingy is most likely my mistake, I guess I didn't fully press Shift ohmy.gif .

Really? Weird. What did the error say? It may be something to do with the my global value ini settings.

Thanks I'll look into it. See this is why I need more comments so I can fix apply problems for all computers.

I'll update the link with a fixed verision if I can.

Great engine, but the coin in the block looks bad. Change it to a better one. Also, in the intro paragraph, it should be "as" not "as for". smile.gif

Yea I was going to change the coin to better one once I got it working. I'm looking for a good sprite for it. I also found out why mario felt so sticky. his collision detectors were centered poorly.

-Currently fixed-
Luigi's L spelled backwards.
Menu Selection(I think, need someone to test)
Amazy Dazy stops when you kill it.
Conversation with luigi

-Currently working on-
Better box collision
More accurate static collision
New coin sprite
A HUD
Making the level a bit longer.
Adding water

I'll probably release the next update tommorrow. Thanks for the feedback guys it helps.

---------------------------------------------
As of 10: 26 PM -

Changes Fixed
Much better box collision
Much better accurate static collision
Coin Sprite added
HUD added
Water added.

Here is some errors I still found:
- "kirbyhi5 presents" is too low in the first screen.
- Luigi still looks a bit squished
- The box collision detection is still a big bit off
- Too much Sonic graphics >:)
Well, keep up the good work. And BTW, how did you make that logo?

No, but you could ask Yoshiman (or a Global Mod or Admin) to.

Also, this looks pretty good. I'll try it out first thing in the morning. And that logo was cool.

- Ah ok I'll make it higher.
- You mean the scene where is talking with mario, or the "Chapter 1 intro" scene?
-Really? haha man I didn't think making box collision would be so annoying. I'll try something else.
- Yea I figured someone would say this. I used to make alot of sonic games, so I got alot of sprites/backgrounds from it. What exactly is sonic about the level? sound effects/water?

Also note, I am in NO WAY a pro at using Multimedia Fusion 2. This is why I request some help on some parts. Like how do you make it so you can Pick up and throw enemies, and Swing on Ropes/vines. the only thing stopping me from finishing this level is programming. I tell you, once I'm done with the 1st level, I can make all the rest. Have the tried the bonus jump feature aswell?

1.And for the Logo, I used "Stereofidelic" font in Adobe Photoshop.
2. I added an outline around the letters.
3. Colored it with a green granite.
4. Used pen tool to draw a leaf.

BTW, I am a bit of an artist myself, but not really with Photoshop. I rarely use it. I actually have two drawings here.
