now that I've got a spare 2-3 hours I better finish my improv entry before its too late. luckly sage registration was delayed until August 16th giving me 7 extra days, so I don't really need to put 100% into working on anything as of now.

I would of loved to do the improv contest earlier but there are other priorities to be filled first.

Well, I have finished my sage entry. It has 4 levels for the demo.
2 story-mode levels
2 challenge mode levels

And feel free to report any bugs, they help greatly.
also, please tell me if you beat the boss at Mushroom Kingdom. smile.gif
*yes you may have to use healing items or skills, and it is beatable, easily.*

Now to work on the other 2 story-mode/challenge mode levels for NCFC. So that brings around 8 levels for ncfc.

W00T! I'll edit this Post with a Review once I've DLed and Played it.

EDIT: Ok, I have beaten Bowser, and Mario resfuses to jump high enough to reach the Purple Flower's(Forgot her name)Cliff. sad.gif

EDIT 2: Ya, don't save the Game as a INI, at least Encrypt it. I edited my Stats to be 99 in everything. 1-Hit KO on Bowser. biggrin.gif And Up to jump higher? I got Lilly too. biggrin.gif

EDIT 3: I found a Skidding Glitch, somehow I can skid, turn around Mid-Skid, and continue Skidding longer than normal.

oh that most likely means that it the game is running slow overall(im guessing 30 fps out of 66 fps). there isn't much I can do about that. I suggest having a faster processor.( I tried testing the demo on some older computers and the framerate is around 30 fps regardless of what I do)

and yeah I just kept it as an ini for the demo. it'll probably be changed to knp like the settings

66?

yep, at 60 fps mmf sometimes desynchronizes and causes rips in the scrolling/timed events. For some odd reason I noticed a big difference in 66 than 60.

either way theres not much I can do about lag/slow motion on older computers unless they release a nice object management. maybe once the object is used it is unloaded from the memory so that it doesn't stack up as more objects are created

probably due to your monitor's refresh rate, if it's at 60 Hz; since MMF updates the game window at about the same rate the screen itself updates, very slight differences in either MMF's framerate or the screen's refresh rate will create a "rip" (which exists no matter what, anyway), but the closeness of the two refresh rates will cause that rip to either hang in one spot or slowly move downwards

i guess the extra 6 Hz would cause the rip to move quickly enough to not be noticeable... but that's still a wacky framerate to deal with (i'd almost use 100 instead if it was easier for computers to handle)

Mario can't even jump over the first hurdle due to the speed it's running at

Which wasn't much of a case last time.

I must say, this game is AMAZING. It's like mixing Sonic with Mario and it equals Mario. Even though I can tell what Sonic engine you used, you really managed to have it it's own personal feel.
This game is also very graphically arousing and I would love to see more of this.

The only downside I can see is that Mario runs too fast at times which makes it completely impossible to see what's coming at you.
And sometimes the direction you have to go or what to do can be somewhat confused, but elsewise I adore this!

This is one of the few games I have seen that really amazes me.

after looking at some of those videos i must agree with mecha bowser
the game seems very fast paced
but mixing megman graphics (general guys mech in the begining of video one) seems kind of odd but then the game play is great and thechoice of graphics and sound was nicely done

keep it up

It's good, but you think you can change the action key from Shift? The problem is StickyKeys and now it's making playing the game tougher.

I have played the version with the Mushroom Kingdom, Mario defeated those two hammer Bros, the demo is end when I beat this level. I liked this demo, but I found some glitches, when I was writing a name, the characters " " and "?" are glitched, the menu that appear when I press enter sometimes does not work.

sorry there is not much I can do about this. Even if this were to be fixed without using timers, the game would still probably be unplayable if it's running at 30 fps or slower. I tried to optimize everything as much as possible(believe me, why else would I spend 4 months and have only 1 level done) I will have to do more tests on different computers to see the exact fps and what's the minimum amount of specs you need

hm I see. I was thinking about telling the player more, but I still want to have that sense that you have to explore the levels/abilities to see what to do next.

That's excellent news. I'm glad someone made it that far. I'll get on to fixing those two keys and pause menu problem.

I would of, but putting it into a .rar makes the file size about 2-3 MB smaller.
