Whoaa I need to change this thread badly.
Mmm I'm not planning on moving this to the W.I.P section until I get another update, which I have no clue when that may be.
but since this is bumped I might as well say what I accomplished yesterday and today, although it's really minor on your part, MAJOR success on my part.
I put into consideration "What if I was going to add more party members?" Using the current party system, there was no way it was possible because of all the active objects and counters, but I struck gold and found a way to use only ONE STATIC ENGINE for all party members, and only 1 SET OF COUNTERS for all party members. This makes adding party members a hell of alot more easier, and reduces computer resource use since you don't have ALL the party members active objects scrolling the frame.
Right now I'm just fixing all the bugs in this "new" party system, and optimizing it.
I must say, Optimizing a game is the part that takes the longest.
Know what's even better? Before in the debugger the game ran at about 85 MB..That's like 80,000 KB of Mem Usage...
Guess what it is now?
34 MB. Probably won't get any smaller then that. I tested it out on several different computers and it runs at 60 FPS on all.
Basically, It's like running Internet Explorer 6 on your computer. Yes, 6.

Thanks. I decided everyone will get 5 moves, and they can be switched out. Just for anyone who doesn't know, the stats are: HP= Health Points. How much HP you have. FP= Flower Points. How many times you can use a "skill" move. DP= Defensive Points. How much defense you have. AP= Attack points. How much attack power you have. luckily, Headbutt costs 0 FP.
