Great to see updates but why does the game run at 66 fps? (It was stating that the human eye perceives 66 fps) Wouldn't it be more practical to shift up to 70 or down to 60 or is there something about 66 that you've seen.

Actually, the Human eye can see 80Hz, which is 80FPS, BUT it can detect motion at a much quicker pace. A few million times a second.

I'd say bring the FPS up to 75Hz, as right now, that appears to be the standard.

60 fps on 60 Hz monitors without v-sync can create "tears" while scrolling. There was a discussion about it long ago and I'll have to see if I can find it maybe.

Haven't tested anything above 66 so far, but I'll see what the results yield. Also yeah I don't know if it was youtube or me encoding the video incorrectly. I tried using a different method of video recording. I used CamStudio lossless codec this time, but the results are pretty much the same as my previous videos.

NEWS: Hurray all kinks/bugs listed have been fixed.(Actually it was fixed maybe a week ago, but I was on vacation) Now it's just getting 4 levels ready for this years SAGE. Decided instead of spoiling the main story AND so previous players aren't playing the same thing, I'd make up a mini-story with a stage select including new content.

Hah nope. If it's a fangame then i'll just use whatever resources the extremely helpful rippers ripped. If it were my own, then everything would be custom.(Which unfortunately I won't ever have time to do since when college starts in September, well, my time will be limited since I want to try to get involved.)

Animating an image that has alpha channels(and like 3 key frames) is beyond annoying, so I just took the two mouth pieces and animated by sin/cos + angle movements.

Total Recorder, although I'm probably gonna check out and see how Fraps does maybe later. (forgot which free ones I used to use) I'm sure there may be better ones.

It installs a driver that lets most of Vista users record audio that comes from the computer. Mine doesn't support stereo mix option for recording, and I hated using the microphone for audio. For video compression, I used CamStudio Lossless Codec. Since my game is 66 FPS, I recorded it in 33 FPS.(CPU starts to lag at anything higher than 40).

Then I used SUPER©Converter to convert the video to an avi with the H. 263+ video output codec at 4128 bitrate for Youtube. (not converting it causes youtube for some reason not to process my uploads)

angles + sin again. Someone made a sine swinger widget which makes it easy to do.

http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?hqmgg2mjkoo

you can mess around with the values in the alterables for alot of different angles.

oh no you don't need to know much about it yet.

with the widget, all you need to do is mess around with the speed and angle alterables .

there's an event in the behavior of the object that handles the rest.(the sin part etc)

oh yeah you'd need to know about sin/cos for that. There's a really useful article on clickteam forums discussing how to use it in MMF2. (need to log in to see it I believe)

Hmm, I liked the level design and the gameplay looked solid, I didn't like what was going on with the boss fight though.
