So this review should have been done a long time ago but here it is. I never read the book so I had no idea what to expect. Beowulf was not bad, it just was slow paced and really not that much happened when you think about it. The movie's entire plot could easily be summed up in a few sentences, but what were you expecting when you turned an ancient poem into a CGI movie.
But speaking of which, the CGI was god rockin' amazing. I love the idea of shooting a film and CGIing over it for a unique effect. The actors were all great but the movie felt like it was lacking some epic music to go along. I guess overall the movie just tried to look like LOTR and Narnia despite having source material that could never hold up to that. So while it wasn't terrible, it wasn't that great.
