Diddy Kong Racing DS help

ShyGuy Leader Group: Members Posts: 11192 Member No.: 2505 Joined: 15-August 06 Status: (0d)	I can't complete Taj's Torch challange. No matter how hard I blow into the DS, the torches won't go out. I've tried switching DSes and even blowing a fan into it. Nothing works. Should I resort to Action Replay DS if nothing can be done? --------------------

From what I've heard people in general cannot get the torches to go out by blowing.

That also worked wonders for me on Mario Kart DS's Balloon Battle mode.
Barring that, try playing in a moving car.

I've waited until the small microphone icon appears at the bottom-left of the screen when I'm right next to a torch. I've blown and blown, but cannot get even a single torch out. I've tried sucking the DS screen as well, but the same results occured. I'm stuck in the hovercraft until I can defeat this challenge, which is virtually impossible. I'm just going to use an AR to get past this challenge. --------------------

In Mario Party DS, there are some minigames where you use the microphone. If you blow, nothing much will happen, however, if you create a sound while going close to the Mic phone, progress will increase. Trust me, I've done it before.

This is not true. See: Phantom Hourglass, where sound is not recognized anywhere near as much as blowing into the microphone.

The microphone does recognize sound, but there is an air-pressure detector and it is used in Mario Kart DS and Phantom Hourglass.
