ok bump with like no content but
that one test app i posted in the CCC with over 9000 weegees/zimmers was pretty much an object count test; results of that show that i could quite possibly have 500 objects active* at once... though i'm still going to try keeping it under 50 or so per level except for particle effects (which is kinda why i needed a highish number)
* ie objects that are running code at a given point in time, i could have far more than 500 normal objects because things like blocks and the like only run code in certain instances
ANYWAY as usual i've come up with a ****load of ideas (not telling >:( ) i'll probably forget about later. i haven't broken the 100 object-types-to-program point yet but i'm getting pretty damn close (96). i sort of have a better idea of the music style i want, and a marginal idea of the graphics style
my current obstacle is finding out how to code an efficient collisions system because the way i'm doing the lua scripts kinda won't allow for the obvious way of doing it through MMF... getting pretty damn close to figuring something out though
normally i'd deal with the pain by making a 10th or 11th level editor (lost count) but i haven't really decided on a level format yet because i forgot about half the features the levels would have lol
next thing that i'm trying to decide on is the screen size. originally it was going to be 384 x 384 (minus the border) but that is HUEG so input on this could help (it has to be square)
should there be an NCFC2, i might actually have at least an engine going so i could put up some screenshots (which would likely look like ****); i'm not promising a demo, though... however i might reveal a couple of things (maybe)
