I've been seeing some common, repeated questions, so I thought I'll make this topic.
First of all, read this if you haven't already.

How do I get help faster? (Back to top)
People are more likely to read a help topic in which they know what the poster needs, so use appropriate topic titles.
Do's: "How do I make sprites transparent in GM?" "What should I do to resolve error code 48233 on MSN?"
Don'ts: "help!" "how" "help me!!!" "problem" "Mario?"
Use the search feature, and read this FAQ.
Most likely your question has been answered before, so it'd help if you search the Help! forums to see if it has been. If you ask a question already in this faq, you'll most likely get a "read the stickies" kind of reply.
Be specific
Please give detailed information about your problem.
Do: "My RAM shows up as 480MB even though it's a 512MB RAM. It's a [company name] stick and I bought it last Tuesday. Is there a way to get it to appear as 512MB?"
Don't: "my ram shows up less than what it should"
Oh btw, the answer to this is that 32MB is dedicated to graphics.
Don't bump frequently
People will get irritated if you bump a topic, say, every hour. Wait at least 24 hours before bumping.

Enclose them between <marquee></marquee> tags. If in a post, then enclose this code in [dohtml][/dohtml] tags.

Center: Enclose it between [dohtml]<div style="text-align:center"></div>[/dohtml] tags. You can drop the dohtml tags for the signature..

Enclose them in [dohtml][/dohtml] tags. (do you really need an example this time?) Note that javascript is not allowed, nor is onclick/onmouseover etc variables.

How do I add an image over the ------- thing seperating my post from my sig?  (Back to top)
Just in case you don't know, it's called a sigbar. You can use this code to add something over it.
<span style="position:relative;top:-12px;z-index:1">Stuff here</span>

Might want to adjust to fit your image. What, you need an example? Are you never satisfied?

How do I take pictures of my screen?  (Back to top)
There's a button on the keyboard that says "Print Screen", or sometimes "SysRq", or sometimes both. Just press that key, open your favourite image editing program, paste it there and save it. Pressing Alt+Print Screen captures the current window.

A program many have success with is Camstudio. There are many advantages you have with this program. It's free and it's also open source for you developers out there!

What you can do is add a scrollbar.  Use this code in your signature to do that: 
<div style="display:block;overflow-y:auto;height:HEIGHT OF THE SCROLL BARpx;width:100%;">STUFF GOES HERE</div>

you can actually, just play it in a media player and record in Audacity
unless you mean how to convert MP3 into MIDI.

Yeah uhh Vixy never works for me. It always gives me a "YouTube is down?" error on both FireFox and Internet Explorer.

Actually just search "MP3 to MIDI convertors" in Google and you'll get a few, but you have to pay :P.

btw your table of contents would be a little better if you did this:

Whenever you need help to advance in a video game, look from Gamefaqs first. Also do NOT reply to a help thread with "Use Gamefaqs" or similar message, it's not helping.

Whenever you're looking for something, use Google first. And again, do NOT reply with "Use Google"-type of message.
