Um, it's better to use span tags as opposed to p tags for text alignment.

Or divs, but spans are inline (no line breaks) and divs are block (line breaks)

<span align='center'></span>

If that doesn't work this will:

<div align='center' style='text-align: center;'></div>

Span basically does absolutely nothing on its own and is used mostly for markers and custom styling. Paragraphs actually do do something, and they're meant for formatting as it is.

Div does nothing on its own except place the contents in their own block as though they were a table cell.

By the way, there is another way to decrypt your Brawl screenshots. With the bin2jpg converter. I have no idea where the program originated, but it works much better and you can use it offline. All you do is put all of your screenshot bin files in the same directory as these files and run bin2jpgall.

..I have no idea what I was thinking when I used <p> instead of <div> there.
thank you for bringing it to my notice.

Q. What is the KFC badge and how do I earn it?
A. user posted image This badge is an inside joke given to selected members. You cannot earn the badge and it really has no other point.

Also, in addition to the screenshot answer, if you hold Alt and press Print Scrn, you can take a screenshot of the currently active window instead of having to cut and paste what you want out with the normal method.

Q. I clicked a link to music, an image, or another download but all that happened was that my computer tried to open it! How do I save these files to my hard drive?

Okay, you're going to have to tell us which WAV to MIDI converter you downloaded if you want us to help but the answer most likely is as simple as:

A. Read the help file (or Readme) that came with it.

I feel I need to put this down:

Q. How do I "Insert Game Maker problem here"?
A. There's a magical site called the GMC (Game Maker Community)
http://gmc.yoyogames.com/
Try it out sometime!
Just go under the Beginner/Novice User Question and Answer forum, and someone will most likely solve your problem!

The help section here should really be about things in general. If you have code you need help with, it's best to go to the site your game making program has, because someone is more likely to solve the problem there.

To be honest, there are plenty of Game Maker users here who have enough experience to help with such issues and they do. I don't think telling people that the Help forum here is unreliable is accurate at all.

In my personal experience, specialized websites for certain programs aren't very friendly with a variety of questions that many of the members there would consider n00bish or redundant. I think it's safe to say that things are a lot different here at MFGG. To find various tutorials and assistance in addition to what we offer at MFGG, though, I'm okay with that.

Some more for the FAQ!
Q. How do I record a video of a game I am making to put on Youtube?
A. A program many have success with is Camstudio. There are many advantages you have with this program. It's free and it's also open source for you developers out there!

Also another good media player that allows you to download youtube videos (and other stuff) is Veoh. It comes with a toolbar for your browser and actually comes with a search tool that allows you to search for Youtube videos within the program. I think it's pretty nifty.

Hell no. How is it a reasonable idea for someone to possibly have to go through the hassle of registering at a completely different forum, just to ask a quick question about code?

Also, I'm not saying "The information posted here is innaccurate". I'm just saying that it would also be helpful to just go onto GMC, and use the search topic, because there are always at least 10 topics about what you need.

Most people aren't going to wanna register somewhere else when there are so many members here that have experience with GameMaker. In fact, a lot of the GameMaker questions that are asked here, I have observed, also apply generally to all the tools of game development in some form or another.

I understand you're just trying to be helpful though.

How to get audio from YouTube videos?

1. Go to KeepVid

2. Enter the video address and press enter.
user posted image

3. Download either version - I recommend high quality.
user posted image

4. Open up a terminal (command line).
(THIS PART IS TESTED ON GNU/LINUX ONLY, BUT IT SHOULD BE SIMILAR ON ALL PLATFORMS)

Replace "input_video" and "output_audio".
