if there isn't going to be a world map then delete this thread

if so then suggest how it might be like

smw style? smb3 style? smrpg style?

we also need to discuss how the world map is set up
for example
user posted image
also in regards with difficulty and whatnot

The angle of it and the way it's made looks like that's the world map from DKC. Hey... Hmm...

Like in DKC, one big map with worlds, and submaps in worlds as the 'maps'
Once a world is cleared, you move onto the next one on the big map.

I'm thinking the "world map" should be a view of the tablet, considering the tablet would have ancient words and images. It would reinforce the "ancient treasure hunt" theme.

Of course, each individual world would have its own full-color map like DKC.

I like the idea Peardian, but I have a suggestion to add. Since the tablet is ancient, a lot of the landmarks will be gone or changed, so to find where to go next, the bros. should have to take it to E. Gadd after each world. But, the take a different path back every time, and that path has elements that will be found in the next world, so it's like a quick run through of what to expect.

What about the Warios, though? They're surely not going to return to Gadd for help considering they stole it.

And I thought about the ancientness. The tablet could show a key landmark in the area which would be obvious from a distance (like a chain of volcanoes or giant tree or something). For stuff like the city, the city could be shown as a little grasshut village near the ocean or something.

wait can you explain that again I didnt get it and you do have a point there with E. Gadd so I think we should just take it out and let Mario bros and Wario Bros have one huge adventure to the end.

They sneak back to E. Gadd's house and listen in on what he's telling Mario and Luigi, or they attack/raid or whatever Mario and Luigi and get the info out of them.

I thought of that, and I think that they should go to the Prof. from the Wario Ware series.

I thought of that, and I think that they should go to the Prof. from the Wario Ware series.

Still, it would be quite repetitive and boring to return to E.Gadd seven times in the game, and would severely fragment the overall feel of the adventure, as Flamedragon said, considering how time-consuming backtracking to the lab would be. It would double the time it took them to reach the piece, even if the players don't have to go through it all again. If I were on a scavenger hunt, I certainly wouldn't want to waste my time returning to home base after every object I collect.
