Scaring away a shark it's okay, but blowing it up?

Well yeah it's pretty rad, but still kinda gross even for me.
I think it's funny how flamethrowers and tank shells that melt people are allowed by the hague accords (like the geneva convention but of a broader area of focus), but using bullets that flatten inside people is considered a war crime.

@demonic jello: Oh yeah, a 5'8 diver is gonna scare away a 20 foot shark. Most diving defense systems are lethal. First it was harpoon guns, now it's underwater shotguns, a knife that kills sharks isn't much worse.

That's kinda stupid when burning someone alive is far more of a painful and torturous(sp?) death then what any bullet could do.

I don't think it's just for going out and killing sharks. it's if a shark actually attacks you, in which case I think it's reasonable to kill it.
