I remember a while back that someone said there should be a space level, but it was rejected due to the fact that, since the levels are where ancient treasure is hidden, it wouldn't make sense that an ancient civilization would be able to get into space.

Well, the other day I was thinking. A few years ago I was watching a thing about ancient Chinese life and stuff on the history channel. And one thing it said was that they had stories of a dragon that would soar to the stars.

Get where I'm going with this? As far as it fitting in with the story, thats simple.
Wario and Waluigi see that the nect peice of treasure is indicated by stars, they ask Dr. Crygor and he explains the whole dragon thing, so the bros., after "borrowing" one of Dr. Crygor's rockets, set off to find the treasure.


Also, this would be a good chance to use Tatanga. And before anyone says "We aren't adding him, it makes no sense!!", just listen, k?

Tatanga appeared in 2 games. Both times he was acting as a hired hand for Wario. And as we all know, Wario is greedy. I think it's safe to say that Wario may have "forgotten" to pay off Tatanga, therefore leaving Tatanga a little steamed.

So, pretty much, Tatanga would be a mini boss, and a space dragon would be the boss.


Also, levels wouldn't all be, "low gravity on the moon" type things. In fact, the dragons level could a an ancient temple floating in deep space.

You mean the skeledragon? I thought that would fit in more of a underground temple not in space with bony beetles and dry bones and boo's. :/

But then Luigi wouldn't make sense. Even if there was dream Luigi, what would real Luigi do? And...that makes somewhat sense, Flamedragon, but...it still doesn't at the same time.

Amazing idea: At world 8 and world X, Mario Bros and Wario Bros team up, but they split up at a certain level in the temple. You could co-op in some of the levels! biggrin.gif

And There should be a space world in the Mario Bros version, with tatanga as a mini boss.

Just becuase I said Tatanga would work doesn't mean Wart would. I gave reasons and such as to why he could work out Flamedragon.

Also, the dragon boss I was thinking of would be the A snake like shape and be black with stars and suck, that way, during battle, he is hard to keep track of.

For the obligatory water level, do you think that maybe a deep-sea pirate theme would work? Like a sunken pirate ship. The story behind it could be something like:

Several hundred years ago (give or take), a pirate went out treasure hunting and found one of the objects the Bros. are looking for. He set sail with his booty back towards some port town, but a storm through the pirate off his trail and ultimately into some rocks. The ship sank, and in mad desperation to stay with his treasure, the pirate sunk with it. Now he and his crew haunt the seas where his ship was crashed, and it's up to the Plumbers to get that treasure. The boss could be the ghost of the pirate.

Commons enemies could be his crew's remains (Wet Bones, perhaps; an obvious pun of Dry Bones). Sea life would naturally be present as well.

I'm not good with names, but I was thinking something like Two Tooth the Toad?

I was inspired by a song I'm making that I find to be somewhat piratey. It could be used in the CFP if this idea is adopted. :P

Neat.

He should possibly be the cliche skeleton though. That's more piratey. Also, you should have to go through the fleet, jumping from ship to ship, making your way towards the rocks. Then the next level should be the sunken ship.

The pirate's last form should be some skeleton monster thingy though.

And the Music for the Fleet level should be K. Rools ship theme from DKC. That song kicks ass!

Can we not decide what worlds are in and what aren't? All work on everything is halted because we can't seem to decide the most basic of worlds. Start listing ones you like so we can get this show on the road.

Worlds:
1. Simple Grassland
2. Desert
3. City - Shared
4. Water (my piratey idea)
5. Bowser
6. Snow
7. Outer space (SGG's idea)
8. Temple

Levels
- SGG's outer space ideas
- Shrinking Snowland
- Generic grasslands
- Some scrolling levels


And no "classic" 8-bit levels. The nostalgia's dead.
