So I got the Rock Band bundle for PS3,, and then threw away the game disc.

I would randomize the velocity for drums by hand sometimes, it took a while but it was easy to do. I'd obviously multi-track. There hasn't been a single song that I've done in one shot.

One recording session would be bass, hi-hats and snare.
The next would be all 4 toms.
The next would be cymbals.
The next would be whatever happens to be percussive elsewhere in the song.

I said I threw it away, not threw it out.

It's still sitting in the corner of my room, because that's where I happened to toss it.
