Ive been trying to find an open source engine for super mario bros 3. I heard legends of one a long time ago. Ive been tinkering with he idea of a Normalman game. Could anybody link me to a halfway decent engine?

Check ultramario's forum signature for the UME.

Neither of the engines are easy to use if you are completely new to Game Maker. Very few of the events use Drag & Drop. Everything's coded. You have to study the engine before you can use it.

I'm using Hello's engine to make my own Mario Fangame: Super Mario Fusion. I took Hello's engine and studied it for two weeks before I can start making my own levels.

Djrellik's engine is pretty much the most accurate SMB3 engine.

Yours i think is alot cooler. Though mario slides too much, but that just gives him style.
