Intros, Titles, etc.

since no one seems to be working on this, here's a storyboard to get started



Basically, Mario goes into a mine, with Wario right behind him

Well, I'm not so up-to-date about the script, but generally that would look nice drawn excellently.

For the title screens, could we have one for each bros. where they're faces are carved into a wall covered in glyphs, and when you press new game, they're faces bust through their own carved faces? It'd be easy to animate their faces cracking revealing their actual heads.

These topics need more communication! Is this project already over?

It's umm nowhere near over. Nowhere.

Well, I'm ready to draw a story board, if yall have the story planned, or I could come up with somthing if you don't mind.

The official "here's the plot again" topic is the second-to-last topic on the page, but you're not the first person to miss it. It should be stickied or something.


As for the title screen, I kinda like Fawfulhasfury's idea. Though, we could indicate that their entire body is present, maybe by having them shift around a bit, or even have them use their fists to break through the wall in the first place.


As for the intro movie, we should probably have a slideshow-type dealie showing a vague snippet of legend about the tablet or, if that's too cliche, just some Toads digging in a cave, when one of them strikes something hard (the camera would be angled up, at their faces, away from the wall). They gasp and draw near; fade to black. We can save the part where the Bros. become involved for after they've started up the save file. For those scenes we could use sprites and text boxes.

We really don't have a name cept CFP do we? We should start thinking of a few names, even though the worlds aren't decided. That said, the title should center around the amulet/talisman/treasure hunt theme.

True, though it is very possible we might not think of an appropriate name until later on. Until then, we can just call it "MFGG CFP" or "Super Mario/Wario CFP" or something.

So if we do think of a name, we must leave open the possibility that a better name will come up later in production.
