Mario Abilities

I like the mole suit idea, too, but not as something required to complete the level.

But if it's instant you don't know what to expect in front of you. I was also thinking of Bob-omb Mario which allows him to explode when you click the (whatever button chosen) button and then he comes back. He doesn't lose any health or anything though.

It'd be pretty hard to get te=he suit off of him if that happened no?

Just set a timer for time between next blast. 3 seconds would be reasonable.

Magikoopa Robe, lets mario use the wand to shoot enemies with and get through special blocks or walls.

Bowser Shell, gives mario a mini-bowser shell on his back (like regular shell) and if he presses a certain button while moving, he'll go into the shell which will change to normal size slowly and flatten enemies as it moves. After so much time the shell breaks.

Hothead Suit, allows mario to run into certain enemies, with the same effects as fireballs, and walk on walls and ceilings, it only lasts for a certain amount of time.
