My thought when I finally entered gannons tower was:
"this game is amazing and all, but after like the 20th time it starts to feel boring"
Then I walked down the starcase, opened the door, and I was amazed. The way they structured the final temple, had a feeling of urgency, a feeling of emptiness. The ending to the game, put into one word, is amazing. It is, by far, the perfect example of how a game should be ended, it simply throws every single thing the game can throw at you and tops it off with an amazing boss fight.
And then, after the credits are done rolling, it ends perfectly. There is no cliffhanger, no wanting to play more, you just feel done. The game has ended
Honestly, that is why I love the game. It doesn't do everything perfectly, it just fixes everything it did wrong at the very end. I love it.
