100% of the programs I use run on it. what are "the" programs?

name any pc game that

a.) isn't on the unreal engine, or was made on pre-gears of war versions of unreal engine
b.) isn't quake or doom 3
c.) is good

he's going to probably bring up WINE

i'm going to bring up a complete lack of need to run wine

it... just... works... something he probably isn't used to

Point is, if more and more people start using linux, the more interested gaming companies are going to be in it.

I mean hell, Simcity 3k got a linux port.

I just need more badass hardware and I'll switch over to linux.

The games will be supported for the major distributions such as ubuntu, fedora and **** like that.

But then again, seeing how developers today already test their software against a huge amount of different hardware configurations... I guess the only feasible approach would be testing it on every dist that's in the wikipedia article

i should probably get out of the way that i don't hate linux. it's very useful for a variety of things, like webservers and productivity (openoffice). but when it comes to recreation and multimedia development, it greatly falters compared to other, more commerically supported operating systems like osx and that which shall not be named

also torvalds and stallman are massive massive trolls

sudo apt-get install wine
program menu -> wine -> winfile ripoff -> doukutsu.exe
Of course, this is almost unbearable hoops you have to go through just to play some cave story.

Lets not talk about dosbox either. You need to mount **** and wdkjslajf **** that I can't even do that on windows.

yeah I know you can install managers and ****, but it should work out of the ****ing box like everything else.
