The frame where the tail is down makes it seem like the connection with the tail to the body is ~~moving up and down~~ getting cut from the bottom.

Yeah, the dithering will be changed, but I fail to see any problem with the eye size.

It's called creativity. Not everything needs to look just like the ref.

I mean, look at RS's. It looks a LOT different than a common yoshi, but it has original charm.
