March Hall of Fame~ Every week, we showcase three works of art from all categories (drawings, pixel art, sprites, MISC) we find impressive, and then post it here.
What kind of art will be showcased here? Three individual art pieces will be posted every week. One will be a drawing, another will be a sprite (or pixel art), and the last will be miscellaneous (such as photos, short stories, music, etc.). Each art will be by a different person.
Who are the judges? How can I help? Me and Tragedy anne will post the showcases. You can help suggest art for us by PMing us what you think is impressive, and if find it to be impressive, we will be more likely to showcase it :O
How much art will be shown? Only three per week.
Who can be nominated? Anyone! Nobody is turned down for their status, regardless whether if they are relatively new or experienced at drawing.
How will it be presented? We will show the image, the artist, and provide a brief explanation why we find it impressive.
What do you mean by "impressive"? What are you looking for in quality? "Impressive work" describes any work that we feel it took a lot of effort to finish; those that do will most likely be considered. It doesn't have to look like the mona lisa to be considered, but it don't expect some rushed MSpainting one did in 3 minutes to be considered either.
How many times can I be nominated? Only once. Each nomination will be from an unique artist. Therefore, a maximum of only one piece of art showcased can be by you.
What will I get for being nominated? Your art will be immortalized in this topic forever. Once showcased, you will not be forgotten here.
The first showcase will be in Sunday, March 23rd. Our nominees won't make themselves! Keep drawing!

Since TA didn't give me any suggestions I had to make them all myself~lol anyways LETS BEGIN MARCH 22nd, 2007~Misc - Retriever II"Untitled" Suggested by Ashura Photography is not a common form of art that exists around MFGG, but the photographers who are here are excellent. One of them is Retriever II. This photo is excellent because of its composition. I love dragonflies, but most of the photos I have seen do not have them. This focuses on one, and does a great job at doing so by using blurring and sharpening to show it. Also, the image is extremely detailed. The photo blurs away the background, so you can see the veins on the dragonfly's wings, the rust on an aged pole, to the millions of eyes the dragonfly has; it shows how complex the dragonfly is. It's also very vivid. When I saw the image, I could almost feel I was there; the birds in its lush green habitat, the dragonfly's buzzes and the smell of inviting fresh air definitely add to this photo's detail. Very few photos are that believable to me. Therefore, its composition makes this photo excellent. Drawings - Visionary"Spades for Clovers" Suggested by Ashura Visionary impresses MFGGers yet again, and this drawing is certianly no failure. Digital art is becoming increasingly more common in the arts board, so the use of colored pencils in this one makes it stand out. This drawing is excellent because of its coloring. The last time I've seen something colored in colored pencils were drawings from elementary school. This drawing however, impressed me since it uses them so professionally. It uses light sources, and she does a good job since each object, from the clovers to Zodia's hair is easily distinguishable. The colors are solid and vibrant, and it helps flesh out its story about Zodia, who walks into the unknown danger that is lurking. Finally, the effort in the coloring is extraordinary; it looks like she worked tediously hard to finish it. In my opinion, colored pencils are extremely hard to work with and drawings using them take a long time. The level of detail on the coloring shows how determined she is. Thus the coloring makes this drawing excellent. Sprites - Pucifur"Old Man" Suggested by Ashura I don't know much about Pucifur, as he rarely posts art there. But this sprite does a good job at showing his level of talent. This sprite is excellent because of its method of coloring. I usually ignore sprites that have a subject I'm not interested in, and old people are no exception. However, what I really like about this is the way how pucifur colored him. I almost got the feeling that this was a sprite in a video game. The coloring stands out. It has a very nice style of showing bright bold colors, yet it does not neglect the finer details of the skin. I could see the wrinkles under his eyes, see the large styilized eyebrows he has, and view the lining of the cheeks. The textures are amazing; his skin and hat almost feel touchable. My favorite part is the red outlines; it makes the character's skin look realistic. Therefore, the coloring makes this sprite excellent. Next batch of entries will be shown on Sunday March 30th, 2007 - PLEASE MAKE SUGGESTIONS OR I WILL KILL KITTIES
