Well, in spite of my tasteless sarcasm, I don't see what the deal with buying-versus-downloading is. Most of the money goes to the artist's producer anyways, or so I understand.

just fyi producers are not evil and are real living breathing humans too and publishing actually requires work

I don't really listen to bands myself but it bothers me when people send me songs from their albums so freely or whatever, "this band is cool here i want you to get into music by pirating this song"

I don't burn songs into cds or anything, though I am guilty of downloading mp3s of game soundtracks/wtf that I like; or is it not the same if you own the game or whatever? >_> I consider downloading mp3s to be "sampling" them; it just feels way too weird to create a hard copy of it when I didn't pay for it (except for the blank cd LOL!!)
