Uggh... how do you wavedash?!

at all the tournaments i've played for melee.. I've never once encountered anyone with a god complex because they can wavedash.. nor have i been to one where it was FD only.

Go play against half of the members of this fourm. That's the only stage you'll see.

probably because you can focus more on fighting than on stage hazards

Any person who can't do both is missing the point of the game.

Because some people prefer non-hazardous stages that means they miss the point of the game?

This is the problem with people who like to play Brawl casually. Both of them are perfectly acceptable play styles, even if one sucks.

They don't call you "casualer" or something like that, so lay off. If they want to play it strictly move-based or whatever, so be it.

Personally I have more fun with items and on hazardous stages.

Items can be incredibly fun, but I'm not really fond of constant moving stages, but stages like Norfair are a blast, so I dunno.

Although I'm fine with FD and Battlefiend though. The only item I never have on is the smash ball(unless there are human players about) and I keep them on low too!


Although when I need to test something out(combos and the like) I turn off all items, and head straight for battlefield or FD.

I don't really see anything wrong withbeing fond of going morely towards move-set based battles.

I don't really like the autoscrolling stages, I really hate DK's autoscrolling stage.

The only problem is you have two sides that think their way is superior to the other. Honestly, I see a lot of running around and screaming from the casual side more though. (Mainly the elitist bit of it, but both sides have elitists, it's just that casual elitist show it more.)

Yah doods, no one has a god complex over Wavedashing. It's casuals that make up these viewpoints just because they're make up negative stereotypes about everything competitive melee.

There was actually a large topic created asking people that made such claims to point out at least one example of some totally deranged god complexed person that actually is a tournament regular "TourneyCig" or whatever. The only time these people looked bad is because people come in name calling and making up stereotypes, and when people defend themselves they don't always do it civily.

But yeah, just some stuff to think about when you guys keep name calling a group of people that are usually laid back and great fun about everything pertaining to the game. And it's competitive, so of course people might get intense in a close tournament match or whatever.

With as laggy as Wifi is, it gets a lot less fun playing on the overly complicated stages btw, who knocks people for trying to get good at a game XD. You're not improving so much when items are spawning everywhere and climbing a waterfall where the stage is gonna KO everyone more than every player combined >.>.
