Boss Trophies

haha, trying this when I get the chance

Okay, I defeated 21 enemies on cruel brawl and got the Liquid Snake sticker, which requires only 10 KOs. The sticker has a Food Effect, so this rumor is false.

Why?

You have a better chance of getting trophy bases on a higher difficulty (example for me would be getting none after almost 20 minutes with Galleom on Normal but three in just a few minutes on Intense). The first character recieves the most beating and probably the most likely to die. If you put it on the last character then the boss will be weak enough by then, and you can stay away from the boss dodging to stay alive while you wait for one to appear. Also even if you do get the boss weak enough before the last character anyways you can just suicide till you get to that character.

Just during the weekend last week, I got Duon.

Got Galleom recently, and I want to get others too.

I haven't gotten anyone else yet, but I put a sticker on Pit that increases trophy stand drops +30. That really helped.

Which sticker was that?

I caught all the bosses cept ridley and meta ridley.

Since this got bumped again I might as well add that there are more rumors about a carry trophy base sticker that is unlocked by clearing Boss Battles on intense.

There is, I have it

All I got from beating it on intense was Galleom's tank mode trophy.

Haven't really checked all my stickers for effects, but we got all the boss trophies so it doesn't matter much.

... well I got a trophy stand sticker from SOMETHING!!!

Intense mode makes me angry. I tried the Charizard thing. Didn't work. I tried continuously using Toon Link's air down smash. Didn't work.

Rock smash helps ALOT, but you still have to be really defensive for some attacks so you don't get too damaged or KOed. Watch for what attacks coming up, dodge it as best as possible (side dodge in the air helps with alot of them), and attack during the bosses down time.

edit: also it's lame you can't catch trophies mid air (as far as we can tell). We tried to co op fight meta ridley and catch his trophy after one threw the stand, and it just flew past us ;(. Nightwing eventually caught him when he was over the ship but STILL

Crap I just realized that I had some trophy stand stickers.

... yes you can, I've had to do this in SSE when they give you a trophy and then BOOM there's no floor, so yes you can grab trophies out of midair just like any other non-held item :[

Regular trophies yes, boss trophies no, scrub

I went on a boss trophy spree a while ago and got a bunch of them. I put The President stickers (Trophy Stand drops +7) on all four of my characters, played on Hard, and it was easy (except Duon, ugh).

The only problem is when something like a blast box or a green shell appears. You have to quick throw it off the stage or the boss will kill itself on it. :/

I'm still missing Tabuu and the Ridleys. I am, in fact, not filled with eager anticipation. <_<

Why is everyone doing it on higher difficulty levels? Greater chance of trophy stands?

I had a trophy stand in my hand when a blast box appeared while I was fighting Ridley. I was just about to throw it and he did that tail sweep move hitting the blast box and killing himself, right as I release the base.
