I loved the game, but I think it went to far from the roots. Then again, if they have an idea, I can't blamet them.

That would be like complaining when Mario party first came out since it wasnt a platformer.

SPM was basically an RPG with platformer based combat and puzzles.

A party game has little of those qualities and i doubt it would work right.

Regardless, saying that SPM is a downgrade from it's predecessors is like saying that a well made movie is bad for not being accurate to the book. If both have the same general qualities the movie can still excellent, even if the characters do not do what they do in the book.

Essentially, SPM is just a re-thinking of the gameplay formula, but the story and humor, the basic qualities that made the past two games so great, are still well in tact.

Never finished MLSS... maybe I should give it a another try! I just need to play it right now.
