Because a game like that totally couldn't get sales on any other system, right.

For the fact the reason I'm getting my 360 is for Banjo, I have to disagree with that =p.

I was talking about Viva Pinata. Also Banjo 3 could easily be on Wii if Rare went all ways like Sega. If Rare could make graphics like that on the N64, Imagine what they could do for Wii.

Welcome to 2002, We all just have to get over it and enjoy the fact Banjo is getting a new game =p.

What about those who've stuck with Nintendo? Guaranteed that not as many people who are loyal to Xbox has played Banjo Kazooie as compared to those who remain loyal to Nintendo have played it before. Not only that, I wouldn't buy a Xbox 360 for the sole purpose to play the new game. I have two FPSs for my PC and that's all the guns that I can get hyped over because Xbox would be the way to go if you were heavily into sports and FPS games.

I find that Microsoft doesn't like sharing their games with other systems as much as Nintendo and Sony does. But if Rare REALLY wanted to make some good money and tell Microsoft to shove their ownership up their ass, I think it'd be great if the new Banjo Kazooie game bridged across all 3 console platforms. That would really make my day

@_@ Damn I should have known, I type before I think sometimes.

And yes it could have, I would have KILLED for Nintendo not to have given ALL the shares of Rare to Mircosoft, We could have kept so much D:, Like an awesome motion sensing idea Banjo game, or Banjo in Brawl.

Rare belongs to noone when it comes to handhelds, they should be that way for consoles too.

@Sponge: Exactly. Banjo probably would have been playable if f***ing Microsoft didn't have full ownership.

@T-man: When was the last time Nintendo came out with a Banjo and Kazooie game for a handheld? Wasn't there one for the GBA?

The last one was the racing game, Pilot I think. Eh, Viva Pinata is getting a DS game. I say in about 2-3 years after BK3, They'll be a Banjo DS.

I had no idea that Viva Pinata was from the same company (Assuming that's what you're getting at). If a Banjo game does come out for the DS, I can only hope that they use the same graphics style from the N64 and it'd be 3D like Mario 64 DS. That'd be totally awesome.

I dunno, Rare seems to like doing ports on the DS, Diddy Kong Racing DS was a port, Viva Pinata DS is supposed to VERY similar to the 360 one. Something tells me it could be a remake of the original using the new Banjo look or something.

Microsoft allows Rare to develop for Nintendo handhelds because those systems aren't direct competitors, seeing as MS doesn't have one of their own.

Microsoft doesn't make handhelds because they don't want their consumers to go outside when they can sit their fat asses at their computer and juggle playing Halo at home as well as wasting spending their time with their new Windows Vista OS!!!

Bill Gates doesn't endorse outdoor activities

thus the reason why Rare should make a DKC4.
I mean they made a ****ing Diddy Kong racing remake.
they still have the rights to make DK games, why not use it well and makes us a New Donkey Kong country game rare?
one that doesn't involve Kiddy kong

I wasn't very fond of the original Diddy Kong racing for the N64 so it gave me a pretty good reason to not bother with a remake or even a sequel for that matter. I'd rather play Mario Kart

The only reason I'm upset about Rare leaving Microsoft is that Donkey Kong has gone down the crapper ever since, and Rare hasn't made a good franchise game in years. Luckily that's about to change with Banjo Threeie, but Donkey Kong probably will never be as good as the Country games or DK64 ever again. sad.gif

Because Myamoto can't make a platformer starring DK, All we can do is beat our drums and just deal with it.

No, that wasn't an innuendo.

One thing I am worried about though is what if the game turns out to be such a flop and lacks the material that made Banjo Kazooie/Tooie a classic? Hopefully they still have what it takes to come up with something that's at least almost as good as what it used to be.

Also BK3 can't be similar to Mario 64, Poop.
