Sonic Unleashed leaked?

I had both Sonic Shuffle and Mario Party and enjoyed them both quite much. I really don't care what sites like IGN say about games. It's not going to affect my experience with it.

We must not forget that this is all leaked information.

For all we know, this could be like Super Mario 128. A simple demo they are still testing for concepts.

Sega did confirm that this is the game that they are making, however, they did not confirm what it would play like.

This "leaked" information could be months old in the development timeline. The game we are getting could be entirely different because what we first saw was simple tech demo material.

I think it is really from Sega and that they made the images and video. However, i also think that this could be a simple tech demo for testing, and not a set in stone formula by any standards.

More like wake up and smell the coffee, every bit of this 'game' screams pre-rendered. You probably liked the 'gameplay footage' of Chrono Resurrection too huh, yeah that was some great battling, excellent way to fake that a combat engine existed. It happens quite a lot.

Get to about 5:30, check out that SWEET Metroid game, I dunno, maybe it's all the haze and blurry light effects, but it just blows me away. And man look at Mario, he's at his most realistic ever in that environment, this will likely be shown to us at E3 as the big unveil Reggie was talking about.

Are we getting the point yet? This stuff is not that difficult to fake; people create animation in a 3D environment on a pretty regular basis in early college level classes, and surprise surprise a lot of it is themed after video games. When creating a fake game you only really need to have a few things accounted for to fool everyone:

A) A name registered by the game company in question (this is for credibility's sake, bolstered by B)
B) Ultra pretty graphics (a distractor from the fact that... C)
C) Gameplay footage is fake, so it looks "Like nothing you've ever seen!"

EDIT: Also, for more fun see the Factor 5 Kid Icarus rumors. It's been said long enough that you would think it'd eventually come true, but after 10 years they're working on TURRICAN not KID ICARUS, no matter how many ****ing idiots say otherwise.

Pretty interesting read, level design looks good and shows potential for the game not to be a "Hold right and win"-fest like some of the GBA and DS games were. Multiple paths and non-linear level design is great to see.

Sega of America is deleting the videos of the trailer of Youtube.

I imagine if somebody faked this it would be a proper old skool Sonic nerd's wet dream vid though, I mean chequered textures, Dr. Robotnik in eggmobiles, animal shaped badnik robots...

The graphics in these videos are bad enough for a 360 game (hence the assumption that there is to be a Wii port) but if they're pre-rendered, then they're awful.

Ya know something, though, a lot of this information comes from Sonic CulT, who pulled an extremely elaborate April Fools prank last year, involving Sonic Xtreme, and some faked footage, which began quite a few days earlier, so...

Some of the recently leaked Sonic Chronicals stuff was intended for one magazine only. Chances are it's the same deal for Sonic Unleashed, except the CulT went in and screwed Sega over because of their poor security.

Never been much of a Sonic fan, but I might have to check this out when it's released.
