Has anybody tried the smash taunts yet?

in snake vs snake he mentions that the les enfant terribles (with a flawless french accent) may have gotten too far and makes reference to the fact that the other snake is wearing different camo or something

He says his tactics are slightly different.

Does every brawl character have a smash taunt? Could someone list which characters have smash taunts and what stage they work on? Thanks.

Draco's List of Special Taunts LoL!

Samus: Any level -- Rapidly mash up and down taunts alternately. She will turn into Zero Suit Samus, but it will not damage anybody since it's not her Final Smash.

Snake: Shadow Moses Island -- Use the down and up taunts simultaneously and hold them (may take several tries). Snake will contact a Metal Gear Solid 1 character, who will tell him about the enemy he is fighting. (Notable characters include Captain Falcon, Wario, Zero Suit Samus, Pikachu, Sonic, Luigi, and another Snake.)

Fox, Falco, Wolf: That Stupid Starfox Level -- Down and up taunts simultaneously, hold (may take several tries). After using the taunt, a gimmicky conversation will start up when the stage reaches the dogfight area.

Luigi: His kick taunt can damage enemies if it hits them at the right time. In Melee, if you kicked someone who was on a ledge, it'd be a Meteor Smash, but I'm not sure if this is in Brawl.



Awesome Snake codecs

Captain Falcon: Snake and Otacon talk about how badass Captain Falcon is and show him their moves.

Toon Link: Snake notes that like with Link and Toon Link, there've been other people named Snake too.

Wario: Colonel states quite seriously that "he also attacks by FARTING."

Zero Suit Samus: I bet if I took all this heavy gear off, I could CATCH 'ERRR. >:D

Sonic: Snake doesn't like Sonic. Any reason? Nope. He just doesn't.

Luigi: Colonel berates Luigi for being the kid brother. Snake attempts to defend him, but Colonel continues to insult him and goes insane. (Snake's screaming at the end is awesome.)

Pikachu: Mei Ling thinks Pikachu is adorable and asks Snake to catch it for her.

Snake: Colonel speaks in a flawless French accent "Has the Les Enfants Terribles project really come this far!?" while Snake expertly examines the other Snake's fighting style.

Olimar: Mei Ling talks about how sad it is that one moment, Olimar is surrounded by friends, and the next moment, they're all dead!! (Snake: "... can't he just pull them out of the ground whenever he wants")

Mr. Game & Watch: Snake doesn't understand the concept of flat people. Otacon tells him to just fight him and it should all start to make sense.

Actually, according to the recent Dojo update you just have to tap the down taunt real fast, both for Snake and the Star Fox people.


As for the Star Fox team taunts, there is a unique conversation for each different location that the ship visits. I've heard all of Wolf's except for the asteroid area one.

She keeps taunting.
No change.
I have seen people start the round as Zero Suit, as in the game starts and they appear with the armour just on the floor.

There is the fast, hard to do method mentioned in the quote.
Or, you can hold down R as you pick Samus and you stage, and release it when the game starts. B on the Wii remote.

Yes, but this won't work in Subspace Emissary, where you must rapidly, and I mean RAPIDLY, mash the up and down taunts. I know this works because I've done it.

Holding any shield button before pressing + on char-select will start the round as Zero Suit btw

Leon's voice got even worse! It was at least hilarious to listen to in Assault :[

Star Wolf's voices are tolerable.

Note that Snake calls Kirby a PINK marshmellow even if you change his colour.

I can't get the Samus one to work. Do you hold down the shield button as you select her or do you hold it down then select her?

I have tried every possible way to do it. I can do the smash taunt but I will most likely get killed while I am trying to do it. Stupid morons should have just made it where you could chose to play as Samus or Zero-Suit Samus.

Thats Luigi. He says that some guys have cloned snake, he has slighty different tactics, and thats pretty much it.
