Use someone with good airial(sp?) ability.

Example being ZSS, Sheik, Samus, Luigi, Marth, Meta Knight, Fox, and Falco.

I'm still convinced that this will only be attainable by the best of the smashers... and I hope to join those ranks and impress MFGG.

I'll still try to beat it as Lucario though, just to see if I can. I know if I'm attune enough to the boss's patterns, I can do it.

You must be pretty badass to do Boss Battles with Ike -- he just doesn't do very much damage in balance with how ****ing slow he is, I had a much easier time with Marth, who also is less likely to get hit since he's not a damned turtle with a zweihander

If you're going for Lucario.

I'd suggest using his down air as much as possible and learn means of air dodging accordingly.

Of course his neutral special can help, but not sure how much.

It's possible to land on top of some of the bosses like Pokey or Duon and then begin charging an Aura Sphere. You need to jump back off if they do an attack that hits up there -- Pokey occasionally charges energy on top of him which will knock you away, while Duon has a close-range spinning attack

I've definately found his down air to work.
His aura sphere also takes a nice piece off the HP bar when his damage his high.
I like to use his side smash attacks as well, but I find I get hurt more using them, since im open.

I'm also going to try to use his counter down+b too in the face of attacks.

He does more damage than you think.
I took down Crazy Hand in about 45 seconds by midair ^A spamming him.

For the longest time, I thought Lucario's down B was a deflector. Then I found out its a counter. >_>

And I found it seems to be one of his more powerful attacks too.

I used that move on those tower things that starts with a G that shoot lasers and are annoying.

Seeing as Pit was my main SSE character, those were easy to take down with a forward B.
Easy to take down with my second main's, Ike's, up B also.

But you have to RUN to those things and attack before it attacks you, because once it starts, the only way to make it stop is to kill it or to attack the head.

Those were good to take with a Forward+B too but I knew it would start firing again so I had to evade.

I still haven't gotten used to his shield yet.

Ever since Great Maze, my mains have been Kirby, Pika, Lucario, and Pit. Order changes all the time.

So guys, is it possible to use Ness/Lucas and absorb certain attacks?

Like, to recover health?

It would be a nice strategy to absorb attacks from weaker/easier bosses when they are nearly dead..

That is easy to dodge.

The only thing I can't really dodge well is that harp thing he does.

Anything that is energy like is pretty much possible.

Like Tabuu's lasers, or Ridley's fire attacks.

uh no he doesn't he was my main until i unlocked lucario and sonic i know how much damage he does

in regular play he's ****ING CHEAP, but in Boss Battle ... he's just too slow. Other characters can deal much more damage much faster without leaving themselves vulnerable after every attack

EDIT: ps. 45 seconds is a very slow time for master or crazy hand

Agreed.

Considering he has some of the slowest damn air attacks ever, atleast in recover from them.

Also I can beat master hand or crazy hand in like 20(or close enough) seconds with my top 6(Luigi, ZSS, Link, Wolf, Falco, and Zelda).

Well, might take longer with Link, due to his jump height but yeah.

Yoshi's a beast for Boss Battles.

I beat it using him on Very Hard only using 2 hearts.

Intense mode keeps catching me off guard. (Stupid Rayquaza)

I did that all the damn time in Melee.

That, as well as every other aerial move he has. Seriously, I just go ballistic and attack non-stop.

Egg Throw also works as a good damaging projectile move.
