I don't get what advantage three screens would give? I assume some people are joking, and the multiple touch is somewhat difficult to utilise when you need one hand to hold the console!

I think they could come up with a small, no-buttons or really few buttons system that would have only one, "touchable" screen with a movement-sensor-thing (from the Wiimote) inside it, so it could run games in a Warioware Twisted/Yoshi Topsy Turvy style. There could even be a Mario game like Galaxy (but 2D) that you had to turn the system in order to keep Mario atop the planet/platform. Then you would touch the screen to move him and shake the system to cause an earthquake and make enemies fall. Basically, most of games would have the motion-sensor feature, just like most games on the Wii.

Probably something that can take 3D games and platformers, and browse the internet and other cool stuff.

QUOTE (Draco Icebane @ Mar 30 2008, 04:54 PM)
  • Intended support for multiple touch - you can already do it in games like trauma center but it's never remotely taken advantage of
  • Touch screen also has a camera in it for snapping pictures etc - all games that use this feature online require you to consciously turn it on first to avoid people snapping ... rude pictures, and at that it only appears with registered friends
  • System itself has a tilt sensor, but not a motion detector, since swinging your DS2 around would be stupid and dangerous
  • The system also senses light
  • Each screen is really two screens one on top of the other. The bottom one is frilly and is used for psychadelic 3D effects (like those "3D" baseball cards from the 80's-90's that barely looked anything like 3D). It is used prominently in a Mother spinoff.
  • The entire system has rumble feature.

Yeah, agreed.

The screen is a sphere and you have to spin it to do stuff.

Great idea in theory, impossible in execution.

...Actually, that's sounds like a bad idea, even in theory.

To echo what some others are saying, I'd expect something similar to the DS, but with better specs. Actually, I think the DS is going to be around for a long time.

A big brother like the GBA was. Improved graphics. Bigger resolution. But for the rest exactly the same... save for the L and R buttons, we've yet to discover 2 more sides to make buttons for.
