It's like getting insulting because you strongly believe in something, for example this topic's getting some disrespect. Whether it be irl or the net you wouldn't let them get away with what they said and stuff.

There's not much you could do to get revenge over someone online. I can understand for getting upset if it happened in real life, though.

also Grant no offense but announcements like this is what tends to make certain people lose respect to you, and later start ignoring all that you say. Except your deal is pretty serious, because it can be seen that your unhappiness comes from MFGG's opinons towards you.

Grant.. There is always a happy medium, bring up things From time to time about moderator activity, and only point out things that Blatantly Contradict the rules.

I mean c'mon, you Take offense to everything and anything it seems, you have the urge to try and change things as they don't fit you or the section of the board you like, you question everything and don't let anything slide.. Take a chill man and just go about things as if this is a bit of interaction on the side.

And i don't mean to offend you by this.. but if a mario based message board is your main source of social interaction, get of your shell and talk to people out in the real world and try and make some friends there.

You are constantly more concerned with what people will think of what you say than what you say, to the point that the opinions of other people in (supposed, paltry, pathetic) positions of power shape you more than what you actually think. You are sub-human if you can't think for yourself even a tiny bit.

I'm not sure if you need -real- role models (following idiot mods like Yoshiman or Joey is a good way to end up a worthless human shut-in), or if you just need to be separated from those you perceive to be in a position of power, but that's what needs to stop; everyone thinks you're obnoxious because of the toadyism. End it, and you'll find a lot of doors open.

I hate to say it, because honestly, your posts can be more obnoxious than Grant's at times, but I actually agree with you (at least the first paragraph).

Grant, I respect you for standing your ground and knowing when to admit you're wrong, but stop making so many long posts like this. All they do is draw negative attention. You'll find that in most situations, less is more when it comes to opinions and sensitive subjects.

The problem is that due to my unsocial, almost anti-social, screwed-up personality, I have a hard time connecting with other people in real life, and am in fact rather widely disliked in real life as well, compared to most people. On the Internet I have a greater degree of control over how I appear to others, so I figured I had a bigger chance of getting along with people. Maybe not.

I go to college, but most of my work is online, and when I go into class I rarely interact with the other students. I honestly am not sure how to go about just making friends with them.

I also have a job, and I guess I get along smoothly with them nowadays most of the time, but I clearly remember past times where, iirc, I got into vicious arguments with some of the people there. Even now I never interact with those people outside of work; I just don't connect enough, it seems.
