It was f'ing amazing. The man who made the famous video of playing Mario blindfolded came on stage and played several old Mario themes with blindfold on, and they even had a man from audience come on stage and play space invaders: by running side to side on the stage and it actually made the ship move.

Great big Zelda and Mario remix with symphony; showing almost every Mario game on screen (even Hotel Mario for like 2 seconds)

Koji Kondo hosted the Zelda + Mario parts

Chock another MFGGer that has gone to Video Games Live. What's interesting is that it's slightly different for each city it's done in.


You say Koji Kondo hosted the Mario & Zelda music. Was he actually there? When I went, Tom went on to tell us that he couldn't be there, and then they showed a video of Koji Kondo talking about his music and apologizing for not being there.
