I'm pretty sure this has done before, so tell me if it has. If it has, has it ever been finished?

This isn't request, if I want you to be in I'LL pm YOU. Not Vice Versa.

This was also made with the fact that many characters must be coded in mind, and let me assure you, the coding is made so that adding a character can be a snap.
Just by changing a few variables each character can have their own sprites, jump distance, max speed, friction, gravity and more.

Updated, no screenshots, but uh, info?

Dummies -
The only "enemy" really. It's just to test out the battle system, the more you hit it, the father it flies. It doesn't do anything except when it's about to fall off it can jump (or double jump if needed) to try to get back on the stage. If you knock it off a new one appears.

Attacks -
Here is the basic moveset for the first character-

Still Shift - Stand still and press shift to use. It's just a regular punch, it's slow but it's damaging.

Side Shift - Move and press shift to use. It's a quicker punch, less damage but you can punch someone on-the-go if you like.

Recovery - Hold up and press Control to use. RII uses it's wings to quickly shoot into the air, useful if your about to fall off or to use a down smash.

Down Smash - Hold down and press Control while in midair to use. RII will stick out its legs and shoot downwards, when it hits the ground it will damage any enenmy it hits.

Jump - Press up to use. Just a simple jump.

Fly - Press up after already jumping. This move can only be used by certain characters, RII uses wings to stay in air. Keep pressing up to keep in the air, but eventually you'll fall down.

Air Smash - Press Control while in midair to use. Just a simple kick in the air.

Ranged Attack - Press control while standing still on the ground to use. Hold down the button longer to shoot it faster and deal more damage, release the button to fire.

Dash - Press control while moving, air or on the ground to use. This move quickly shoots your character forward. This is useful because hitting enemies can cause them to slide and while dashing, if you happen to fly over a pit, you won't fall.

Okay, finished the moveset for RII. Nice, right? RIGHT?

Okay, the demo is here, just a smll example.

- Character select (Very basic, green is 1 Player and red is 2 Player)
- 1 Player and 2 Player mode (For one play don't move the red selector, not versus but just team up to beat up the dummy)
- 2 characters (Retriever 2 and Bacteriophage)
- Many Attacks
- 1 Stage


Oh, and as for the newcomer, Bacteriophage (Now known as Airman) :

Still Smash - Hold still and press Control for this. He tosses out a small version of himself, which latches ontop enemies until they hit it off.

Side Smash - Move and press Alt to use this. He does a little kick behind him and headbonks into you.

Still Smash #2 - Hold still and press Alt for this. As if he was breakdancing he gets upside down and twists all around.

Recovery - Press Up-Control to use. He kicks his legs to give him a powerful boost upwards.

Down Smash - Press Control-Down while in mid air to use. A spike comes out of him and he throws himself downwards.

Air Smash - Press Control in midair to use. He does a little kick.

Jump - Press up while on the ground to use. He doesn't jump very high and falls fast since he's heavy, so use caution.

Double Jump - Press up while in midair to get a little more height.

Phage is very heavy but can move quick and accelerates to full speed almost instantly. He cant jump much and he falls like a rock, but by using double jumps and recoveries you can get pretty high.

Also, for all the characters, Shift is now the Alt key, so for the characters instead of Shift-Up or Shift-Left and so on its Alt-Left and Alt-Down, bladablada.

Player 1 uses arrow keys and player 2 uses numpad, press Enter at the character select stage to go. You cant hit each other but you can hit the dummy.

If you have a story mode, I have some ideas for enemies.

Flames- small enemies made out of ... flames.
Dupes- zombie-like enemies.
Trolls- large, ugly enemies.
Glitches- there could be a few different types, each one with a different effect, but you don't find out what they'll do until it's too late...

Excactly the idea I have.
The story mode will probrably be like the Cutman deal. A single person rises up against MFGG and others follow, hackers that hack into the data base and start deleting things bit by bit. They also send out people they don't need like you mentioned to stop the good members, mods and admins from restoring MFGG, one member and area at a time.

It's good so far, but I have a problem: Shift moves don't work with any characters. Another thing I think you need to know is that Alt will sometimes pause the game. So you need a new secondary Phage special button. Another thing is that you need to respawn if you fall off. Otherwise you need to quit.

Okay, I've attached my sheet. My down smash is funny. Yes, I use one of my karts. If anyone else HAS to have it, it's right there. v

P.S. I'm almost done with the sheet. wink.gif

I said I replaced shift with alt due to problems. And you have to have the game in full screen otherwise alt will mess up the game, sorry.

Is good, but (I think it's a variable in my laptop) but pressing alt makes the game pause for me. Maybe make an option so you can change what the keys are? Other than that, great work so far!

That happens on my PC to.
For now, just put it in full screen. Alt won't freeze when it's in full screen.
