Also, there should be more movement while in the air in the jumping animation.

Punching animation looks waaaay too jerky, and there's no windup. Plus, his legs look incorrect. One of them should become stiff, wheras the other one should slide backwards a bit. Also, the idle seems a bit strange, I don't think anyone turns their head that much while just standing there.


I absolutely loooove the pallette on these though

Well, I tried a WIP Punch revision...help would be nice. It looks better imo, but not perfect I believe. He has more windup though.

The new punch looks kinda retarded... the feet and all that are perfect, just don't make it seem as if his hands aren't moving straight forwards and going everywhere. Also, maybe his head should turn more.

The leg movement on the punch is still odd, the moving leg shouldn't slide forward at all, it should simply scoot back about 2 pixels

The punches look kinda lifeless. His feet and legs barely move, so that's important to fix. Make him move every part of his body a good amount. If it looks over-dramatic, it looks good. At least with sprites.
And his body should completely turn on the second punch. Right now it just looks like he's sticking his arm out really fast.

But the sprite itself is really nice. The animations just need work.

It's mostly the punch that looks awkward. Jumping and running are pretty good.

Made the run for the Squire Suit Dex. In my "game," Dex will have to infiltrate an army base by stealing and deactivating the armies armor. :P

Aight, since you asked me to help you, I guess I can give you some C&C on this.
The thing with punching animations that is sometimes hard to get right is the power of the punch. The animation where he hits with HIS left arm, is fine, only it needs more of a "POW". Right now it's just sort of a rubber effect... slow out, slow in. You need to snap, quick pause, and then retract.
Same goes for the other arm, only there, another problem exists. His shoulders need to move more. Meaning that he needs to twist his whole upper body along with the arm. Right now, the shoulders stay positioned just the same, and it creates a strong sense of the rubber punch. Yet again, you need the snap, quick pause, and then retract, only in this case, a slight twisting of the upper body.
Try taking these things into consideration, and when you've fixed the sprite up, feel free to ask again.
