Tourney tards

Can we kill this expression already? People keep saying it, yet there's no reason to. In Melee sure, that was about exploiting glitches and only sticking to one character on one stage. Brawl though, there's no set standards really, since with items off, everyone really stands an equal chance, and most stages are like Final Destination, being flat and tame. While all of this is still true, people keep spewing crap about tourney tards, and saying how pathetic it is to play as Fox, or to turn items off, or to play on Final Destination.

So honestly, if you're gonna act grumpy, give a better reason than "TOURNEY TARD TERRITORY." By just saying that, it makes it seem like people are whining about it just because they're just not very good at the game or something, which is why they hate plain stages or items being off.

I've yet to see it used once.

It was thrown around in a topic repeatedly yesterday. A lot of the Brawl discussion topics also have it.

Explain this!

a lot of competitive players don't even like final destination all that much, it's just some bull**** /v/ spout because they like to complain about games rather than be good at them

Which seems to be taking effect here as well.

I've seen it used here once or twice but it didn't seem like it was being used in a serious context. And "tourneytard" or "tourney***" is a load of bull since real tourneys don't stick to FD as much as people exaggerate; plus by turning items on you screw over the heavier, slower, characters even more than you expect. :/

Tourney players play to win with money on the line, not to run around doing 99stock matches spamming Bob-Ombs and PokéBalls.

Edit: And I'm talking about the real, big tourneys not some small little group thing.

You're one to talk Delmore.

You talk about the great variety of stages, then you ONLY use Final Destination. Granted, I don't like how overpowered the items are this time around either, but Final Destination gets really old really fast.

FD with Jigglypuff all day with him. Actually yesterday when me and him were fighting we didn't just fight on FD. Then again it might of been me that made that happen.

Yeah, we used Green Hill ONCE. I don't remember if it was because I finally won out or because he could rollout spam on that stage too.

Why are you complaining about him using FD? What about ROLLOUT?

Hey, if he can Rollout spam his way to victory, it's our fault for not thinking of a good way to counter it.

I usually do counter it. Hint: Ike can do it easily, as long as you have good timing .
