I just watched the final battle in Earthbound, and I gotta say...

I bought it when the game was new.

My scratch and sniff still has some scent.

Who said it was a remake? That is the most bull**** thing I have ever heard.

Earthbound is continuing the story of MOTHER. MOTHER 3 is much later in the future after Earthbound. If you feel like reading text walls, I can give links to the plots of MOTHER, Earthbound, and MOTHER 3.

The pizza ones?

Anyone who thinks Earthbound is a Remake of EB0 has either:


1: Never played the game (Which makes sense, considering EB0 SUCKS)
2: Never watched videos of the game
3: Never read even a summary of the plot
4: Never seen a single screenshot

Mother 1 doesn't suck as such, it's just difficult to like at first because the graphics are so poor.

It's sad that that Mother 1 + 2 GBA pack released in Japan didn't remake Mother 1... it really needs it IMO. It's no wonder why there's doubts on how well these games will sell when the first one looks as crappy as that.

It's not the graphics; I've played Mother 1 and the gameplay is simply slow and monotonous

And the last half of the game is difficult as hell because the game designers themselves admitted that they didn't check the difficulty after completion to meet ship date.

I really enjoyed EB0 the whole way through, guess I'm special.

Mother 1 final boss was better because the whole music thing is epic-er than just GOD HELP US.

I've never been able to play the mother series. ='(

the music is not scary at all, and the moaning sound in the music gave the music some rhythm.

Only thing I hated about EB0 is the random battles system (which were common in RPGs of that day anyway), and Mt. Itoi.

And I had no sense of direction in that game, I got lost many times and I could never beat Giegue because I was sooo underleveled.
