I've already programmed it, just haven't found a place or time to put it in.




Anyway, my uploader's giving me trouble. So even though the update is finished, I won't be able to upload until Saturday or Sunday. Sorry guys, all of the free file uploading places are crummy or don't work well with dial-up.

And the list goes on. Sorry, but I PROMISE it'll be here on the weekend. I get to go to the library, which means 90 minutes of High-speed internet. So I can pretty much guarantee you'll see it by the end of the week.

It may seem tacky, but why don't you just attach it to the post. That's what I do.

Reasons NOT to attach a file.

1) Attaching a file to a reply is VERY lazy.
2) It isn't in the least bit organized.
3) Only ONE file may be attached at a time.
4) Unless your internet sucks, it only takes an extra 2 minutes to upload with a normal file uploader.
5) You can't rely on it forever, due to the 10 MB limit.
6) The words: Files Attached, or whatever is very bothersome.
7) You can't post more words under the image this way.
8) It makes you look like a lazy nooblet.
9) It shows that you don't want to take the time to present it in a decent way.
10) You have to press "back" multiple times just to review it.
11) It gives me diarrhea :P

Those reasons good enough for you?
I'll attach only if I have a WIP. If It's TOTALLY complete, then I use an uploader of sorts. It's MUCH neater :P

Finally, it's updated. Once again, it's on the first post.

Those reasons don't really prove your point.

I use an outside uploader in case this site goes down and I lose my link to the file. Reuploading a 5 megabyte file takes half an hour with dial-up, so it is a pain. Plus, I can track all of my files easier using an outside uploader. Those are the only reasons I have for using one. That and the fact that you can only have one file per post using the file attaching system here.

Yeah, and, my internet sucks. But your reasons are only on looking profesional. What if you don't have a file host, don't have fast internet, AND JUST WANT TO GET IT OUT OF THE ****ING WAY OF YOUR LIFE!?

If that's the case, then it probably isn't a very important file anyway. That method is okay for things like quick sketches or game engines, but for game demos, full games, and art that you worked really hard on, an outside ulpoader is nicer and more professional to use.

Not that anyone here cares if you upload it professionally. You both have a point, but I prefer to use the outside uploader.

Sometimes, making your post look professional will help you in the long run.

And it seems rather silly to put it at the bottom, where it can easily be passed by......

And FYI, There are jillions of free file hosters. And, like Giga said, attaching files is good for sketches and engine tests and stuff. I find it more rewarding to take the extra 5 minutes just to make a post look neat. It's kinda like the real world. If you don't present yourself in a decent fashion, then people will treat you as such x_x

If you want to be lazy, then go ahead.

Aside from the fact that the random reasons are just there so it was actually 11 different reasons, I think I gave enough reasons to not use it, which seem pretty legit to me. Organization is important, disadvantages are what you DON'T want, and I wouldn't want to look lazy.

How about I prove my point as to why you have no point.

For reason number 1 : Even if it is lazy, why does it hurt you?
For reason number 2 : Who cares about orginization, it's a game. If a demo was really awesome, but not organised well, does it matter?
For reason number 3 : Why would you need to attach more than 1 game file?
For reason number 4 : Does that hurt you? You still get the demo, what, you cant wait a few extra minutes?
For reason number 5 : He never said he needed to rely on it forever, just because his internet was having problems.
For reason number 6 : Once again, does it really matter? Its the game you need to focus on.
For reason number 7 : You don't need to.
For reason number 8 : No. It doesn't. Just because it's built in doesn't mean that your lazy, or much less a 'nooblet'.
For reason number 9 : Once again, it's the ****ing game you need to focus on. GAME presentation is good, but not the DOWNLOAD LINK presentation.
For reason number 10 : Your point is...?
For reason number 11 : I'm sorry. Try Pepto Bismo if you really need it.

Meh. I just hate laziness. I'm not saying don't use it -.-

Of course, it most likely won't hurt your game presentation, but I just find it dumb.

@Everyone Else: Please stop bickering. Soiyeruda, it is lazy, and I agree with you there. Mamaluigi, it doesn't really matter, and I agree with you there. But if this topic was meant to discuss the presentation of fangames, then it would say so in the title. And it doesn't. So it isn't.

Yeah, although the item shop is broken. I've been lazy, and I won't be working on an update for a few days ( Mario Kart Wii ). But I'll try to update by Sunday.
