Like I have said before (probably not here), MONEY RULES THE DOGDAMN WORLD. And that's because everything and everybody USE, MAKE, DESTROY AND THINK ONLY ABOUT ****ING MONEY. But this is too far. I wouldn't give a rat's ass if it only was in USA (which still would be kinda crummy), but if THE WHOLE ****ING WORLD gets affected by it, it is a no-no. A NO-NO, I tells ya. Basically, someone can use your artwork without your permission and there isn't a thing you can do about it.

Bull ****. There's no point in copyrighting if people can just take it anyway.

You kinda have to remember that the IPA website is, well, the IPA website. They naturally have a huge bias towards copyright law (just like the MPAA). Scroll down the page and see what they have to say about Creative Commons.

Meanwhile, the MFGG forums are, well, the Mario Fan Games Galaxy forums... Copyright issues aside, about 99% of the games in the fangames section are orphaned works by way of never being completed.
