Besides, PM is on the Virtual Console, so I wouldn't see much point. Unless they really mix things up. This. It would be a remake, like how Kirby Super Star is coming to the DS.
Nintendo isn't that lazy to make a direct port anyway. They would at least revamp the graphics to fit in with TTYD or something.

Ok, pfft, fine, it's known across us Mario gamers, but ask any common Paper Mario gamer about it and they'll have no clue. They just picked up Paper mario TTYD or something and got interested. But they don't know SMRPG. :X
