Yep that's exactly it. A pimp cane, and a club with nails on end and blood. It was originally just a cane, but I had to stretch Maurice out to 57 pixels wide because I wanted it to be the same width as Maurice holding a gun. However, I am really thinking about switching to 32 x 32, but if I do that, I would need my guys to be just 32 pixels wide, so Maurice just doesn't walk over 1 block wide gaps. So it's really hard for me to find a nice way to have Maurice hold a gun, but most likely if I do go 32 x 32, I will throw the club and cane away because I would also have to have walking animations that have a club and cane in them and that won't work out well. My current animations is that the club waves in the air, and mario's feet kind of go up and down and the cane wobbles.

Gradients + Sprites = Bad

I'm a novice spriter and still, I know that you should NEVER EVER gradient your sprites.

Aw thanks I like it! It would allow me room for him to hold a gun too... maybe even for the cane to come back.

I would also use one of those better looking sprites from the Super Nintendo Mario games, so I can have all the animations made out and I would just have to edit them, but they don't look good at all when I turn them "gangsta".

Okay, went to work with your sprite Project MK, I think this one looks alot better next to other sprites so thanks alot, anyways heres what I did

EDIT: I just noticed I drew a line through 1st guy... oh well.

To overcome the 32pixel width delima, I thought outside the box and decided to have maurice hold it from the other side and do it accross. Oh and my hands on duck one were too small and wrong shade of brown too, but I Fixed that on my computer

Anyways, do these new sprites make it less clashy?

Oh hell, this is one deranged concept. And if you're aiming this game to be stereotypical and/or racist, as you stated, all I can do is shake my head and say oh my god.

Besides that, the graphics clash directly into the abyss (8 Bit Mario + 16 Goomba + NSMB Background = one ugly combination)

At least make the graphics from one game or make them into a noticable matchable set at least. A portion of a game's appeal does come from Graphics.

You mean like doubling the size, or stretching, like turn every pixel into 4 pixels? If so I can do it on my own in ms paint so its all good.

Besides, I think it looks pretty good now with your help already

Oh and, since I'm programming it in Java, the game automatically displays in full screen, so thats why I guess I am looking for bigger sprites, because in full screen mode having all my sprites at 16x16, I could fit all of world 1 - 1 of SMB in one screen.

Ran into some problems creating invincability times for star power and for few seconds after you get hit, but solved it. Also got alot more sprites and tilesets today and new sounds for guns and junk, and alot more new songs! :P, Now I am wondering if I should use mp3s in my game, but I think having songs with voices will take away from gameplay.

You can find MP3s without voices, just ask for it on some other forum, or maybe google it.

Problem with that is in Java, I have to uncompressed the sounds into a AudioInputStream thing and have some plugin type thing along with my game, so like one minute that might be 1mb, is now like 10mb, and just takes up a bunch of room in general, while MIDI is pretty straight forward.

Also does anyone even know the difference between mid. and midi.? My game can play both.
