Sprite Comp #132- Mario Map Screens, yeah that's right

According to your birthday, you aren't even 15 yet :P

Back on track:

Well it can sometimes last longer than a week, right?
And it ends based off the date the host specified anyways, right?

And this isn't just some random sprite competition. People actually need to put effort in this because you have to sprite many different objects, instead of just editting one image for animations.

I find animating a single sprite far more difficult than simply making a few tiles and putting them together.

And I'm pretty sure all compos are supposed to end in a week, no matter what the creator says.

It ends on the 28th. That's what the comp creator said, and there's never been a rule that says they must always be only 7 days long.


Also some people really need to learn better C+C, and to post better in general.

• What is this complaining about the comp being about the biggest sheet? For one thing, no one thinks that's the only thing that the comp's about. For the other thing, having a bigger sheet SHOULD count for a lot. Why should something with only a few sprites, and therefore smaller variety and less effort put into it, be treated equally with something of equal quality and with more sprites? Big sheets should be ENCOURAGED.
• Black Boo was not putting anyone down, and does not have to mean laughing.
• "Biggest eyesore in the world" is not good criticism, no matter how you look at it.

On the subject of the sprites, I actually really like a lot of these entries, and it will be hard choosing between them. At the moment I can only recall one thing I wanted a lot to suggest:

ndsfreak, I strongly recommend that you edit the numbers on the stage markers. They're difficult to make out right now. Other than that, your sheet is pretty awesome.

All those applied to me, and I REALLY need to keep my mouth shut x_x

The third one though, I mentioned later that it should look more like a cloud (AKA, poofy, fluffy, pillowy), and not just an oval.

The first one, That's all it seems to me, because a few of the people kept going back and forth with making theirs bigger. I don't have anything against it, I'm just speaking out my mind (which I do too much...).

Ah, ok.
Maybe I'll add more to my sheet then.

Oh ffs. I find out this compo actually exists a day before it ends. Might as well try to enter. :\\\\\\\

Here's my probably last update.

Big clouds, with and without texture. Also added vines and rainbow bridges. And yes, I am aware that it's far from original.

A small map based on the use of them clouds.

You have 8 tiles and it's my favorite one (Although the grass tiles could use some touching up for them to flow better).

I prefer quality over quantity in competitions like this.

Sorry if I look like I'm accusing you (again), but it looks as if you're copying whatever Nicktendo DS puts on his? When he put the skull, you put it too. Then when he makes the Castle Walls, you make some too.....

I'm just saying....It doesn't apply to everything you make, but it does apply to some.....If I'm wrong, just say so.

Hey, I'm copying too
We all use eachother's ideas.

Added Hammer Bros., Boomerang Bros., Fire Bros., Sledge Bros. and the tank from SMB3 World 8.
EDIT:
Added the quicksand level thingy from SMB3 World 2 and the tornado that appears when using the Warp Flute.

Thanks. I kinda half assed the grass tile since I've always had troubles with grass. :P

And yes, i sharpened the corners of my cliffs and bordered them with brown like NICKtendo DS. I did it so they could fit all ground textures. So I'm not copying, Nick.
