I'm doing a Katamari-styled game where you attract larger and larger objects to your mass, so i think that's pretty original.

How does that follow the theme?
Also, I got stuck in a red block when I had that blue thing on and the yellow thing pushes me through.

EDIT: mario jumps WAY too high and can get inside the roof of the rock to the right of the starting position.

EDIT AGAIN: okay, I understand, up and down change gravity. Just completed now. Add more levels.

You can manipulate the gravity pressing up or down

Here is the values

The number on the top left screen is the gravity_index

if gravity_index = 0
gravity = 0.05
if gravity_index = 1
gravity = 0.10
if gravity_index = 2
gravity = 0.15
if gravity_index = 3
gravity = 0.20
if gravity_index = 4
gravity = 0.25

I've ditched my idea of Katamari to do a more traditional Mario platformer.

That looks like it could make a good game there Dark Yoshi.

No it's not.
You manipulate gravity when gravity changes in either strength or direction.
As a regular Mario platformer always has the same gravity and always the same direction, gravity is not manipulated, just used by Mario and other objects to go back down to the ground after jumping.
