Items are as much a skill as dodging, blocking, and any other gameplay factor.

Don't act like an ass. I don't understand why you guys have to take the game so ****ing seriously and ruin it for everyone else. That kind of "smash elite" behavior should be saved for tournaments elsewhere.

Smash Bros. is a lot more fun with items. You guys seriously turn the game into a chore trying to perfect your timing and playing shield and roll matches with each other.

Now that's boring in my opinion and if that's how you spend all of your play time I don't know how you can stand it.


Now I had a match with Delmore without items and that was fun. But it gets very old fast.

Yeah, it makes you wanna do less, just in case you hit something that randomly spawns in front of you. A select few don't really influence the game much besides adding a bit of damage, but most are just there for the people who have no clue how to play and need something to exploit so they can win. It's not really a skill.

It's not that I hate items, I just hate the fact that they decide the match for you, and basically decide what every player does. If a pokeball comes out, it's only natural for every character to shove the others out of the way just to get it. That's what is stupid.

To MegaTailz: Items don't take much skill. It takes skill to actually get to them. It takes skill to actually knock it out of someone's hands. It DOES NOT take skill to essentially kill someone with it, really. You just throw, and that's it.\

I'm not saying "ban items" I'm just saying don't be a noob and only run after them, really.

No items can be fun too.

A simple way to solve this problem is to:

1) Put the items on low so that the people that like them can have them and the people who don't like them will not have to bother with them as much.

2) Decide certain ones to turn off. (Smash Ball, Dragoon, Hammers, ect.)
