I can't figure out how to do it in Anvil Studio, and I'm starting to think you can't do it with that program at all. Is there a midi program that does have the ability to support multiple tempos?

EDIT: Title was misleading. Read my last post to know what I meant.

You can do it in GM, except it only happens in-game.
But theres a MIDI program called WIDI, and it can change tempos.

I know that. What I mean is, I want one part of the song to go, say, 150 bpm, and another part to go 180 bpm.

Can't you just add different types of notes? Like, if your song was 8th notes and you want it to go 1.5 times as fast, then use the "Dotted note" check box. Also, you can do just about any tempo with tied 64th notes.

Yes, but that would be far too complicated.

I don't think there's a program that does that.

And even if there is, it's better to do it manually.

Better to do what manually? Use tied 64th notes to create an arbitrary speed?

Changing tempo is part of standard MIDI. I don't know how other programs handle it, but MAGIX msg6 has a separate Tempo Event List for just that purpose. Try opening this file (right-click; save link as) in Anvil Studio and see how it reacts when you change the tempo. In that scenario, MAGIX would immediately warn you that there are multiple tempos and offer to open the tempo list for you.

Yes. There are reasons for this, and it's all dependent on if you use/create sheet music, or if you go by ear.

Noteworthy composer allows for tempo changes much easier.

The demo version is free forever and comes with everything, but is limited to 10 saves per son.
